Life coaching is a way of pursuing the purpose written on our hearts. It is a relationship we design together for your

  • Fulfillment—living your life according to your unique values and purpose;
  • Balance—consciously choosing which activities, attitudes, relationships, and behavior patterns you want in your life; and
  • Engagement—remaining fully present in every moment, instead of living in the past or the future.

Pursuing life coaching is a decision to move your life forward and deepen the learning along the way, inviting someone—a life coach—into the process to hold you and your life as big as—and maybe even bigger than—you do.

Which Parts of My Life Does Life Coaching Cover?

Life coaching addresses your whole life. Client and coach focus on areas such as:

  • Physical well-being
  • Personal/spiritual growth
  • Money
  • Career
  • Family and friends
  • Significant other/romance
  • Physical environment
  • Fun and recreation

A change you make in any single category impacts all the other categories. For example, should you choose actions toward improving your physical well-being, you’ll feel more energy for areas such as personal/spiritual growth, significant other/romance, and family and friends.

Who Benefits from Life Coaching?

Anyone can benefit from life coaching at any time in her life. You may especially benefit from life coaching when...

  • You’ve long held a cherished dream, and you’re beginning to wonder if
    you’ll ever realize it;
  • You’d like balance in your life;
  • You’re in transition;
  • You want to realize your full potential;
  • You feel like you’re merely existing, and you want to live;
  • Life is good, and some areas such as work, relationships, health, or
    personal growth could be even better; or
  • You simply want more.

Who Should I Hire as a Life Coach?

First, look for a life coach with whom you connect. Many coaches, such as
myself, offer a free sample session. Try a coaching call to ensure you and your coach share the potential for a relationship that sings. You want to click with
your coach and sense that s/he listens and speaks to you in service of you living your biggest, best life.

You may also want a life coach who has received training and/or certification from a life coaching institute accredited by the International Coaches Federation. The ICF also offers its own certification process for life coaches.

The best way to understand life coaching is by experiencing it. Contact me for a free thirty-minute session to see if life coaching is for you and if our relationship serves to help you discover what’s deep in your heart. I do coaching over the phone, so distance is not an issue.
